The city of Gloucester will be honouring the sacrifices made by our armed forces on Remembrance Sunday (10 November).

Representatives from Gloucester City Council will remember those who took part in conflicts past and present, in services at the ‘old’ and ‘new’ cemeteries on Tredworth Road starting at 10:10am.

Councillor Lorraine Campbell, Mayor of Gloucester and Councillor Pam Tracey, Sheriff of Gloucester, will attend along with representatives from the Royal British Legion.

A Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Gloucester Park will follow at 10:45am where those gathered will be laying wreaths and observing two minutes silence.

From midday, a military parade will process through the city from the corner of Eastgate Street and Brunswick Road junction.

Major General MR Keating CBE will join the Mayor of Gloucester,  High Sheriff of Gloucestershire and representatives of the Royal British Legion to take the salute outside Gloucester Guildhall.

The Traditional Service of Remembrance at Gloucester Cathedral will follow at 3:00pm.

This year the Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Gloucester Park will be live-streamed by students from the University of Gloucestershire to allow those who aren’t able to attend to pay their respects.

The students will be supported by local business bba.media to provide the live coverage which will be available at Visit Gloucester - YouTube from 10:45am.
