Gloucester Guildhall has launched a new ‘Kids Club’ at their cinema for family film screenings.

Launched on Saturday August 17 and continuing into September, families can enjoy a selection of children’s films in the beautiful cinema at Gloucester Guildhall run by Gloucester City Council.

For these special screenings, tickets are £3.50 for children (U16), and free for accompanying adults.

The Gloucester Guildhall Cinema is a charming 75-seater venue in the beautifully restored former Gloucester Council Chamber.

With its comfortable seating and plush surroundings, it provides the perfect setting for a memorable film experience while the Guildhall bar offers a variety of snacks, drinks, and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

This summer visitors can look forward to a host of family favourites:

  • Despicable Me 4 (U)
  • The Lego Movie (U)
  • The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (U)
  • If (U)
  • Kensuke’s Kingdom (PG)
  • My Neighbour Totoro (U)

Councillor Caroline Courtney, cabinet member for Culture and Leisure at Gloucester City Council, said: “We’re keen to grow a lifelong love of film in the next generation, and to introduce young people to the excitement of cinemagoing. Our space at the Guildhall is particularly special, in a unique room in the former council chamber. Kid’s Club screenings are the perfect way to get to know the Guildhall.”
