Did you know you can now use any litter bin to dispose of your litter or bagged dog waste, we call these dual use litter bins.
To help keep public spaces clean and safe for everyone tell us:
- if there's a bin in your area that is not regularly used and suggest a new bin location
- if you think there is a need for an additional dual use litter bin in an area of high footfall
Important - we cannot respond to all requests for new bins but do use the information you provide to monitor our service

- we will use the information you have provided to monitor areas of high pedestrian footfall
- we will review your request for a new bin location and may relocate or install a bin where a litter or dog waste problem has been identified

What we've done so far
To help keep public spaces clean and safe for everyone we've worked with our waste contractor to install new dual use litter bins in the city centre, funded by WRAP and Gloucester Bid.
The locations for the bins were chosen based on the information submitted to this service in 2020-21 and feedback by residents, volunteer litter pickers, Councillors and our street cleaning crews.
Our new dual use bins can be used to dispose of litter, recycling and bagged dog waste and have been installed in areas of high footfall for example, on Gloucester's gate streets and our large parks and opens spaces.
