Report a Dead Animal that Needs Removing
Use this service to report a dead animal on a road, pavement or in a public space.
Dead birds
Important - There has been an outbreak of Avian Influenza (also known as bird flu) in Gloucestershire.
Do not touch or pick up any dead or visibly sick birds that you find.
If you find any dead wild waterfowl (swans, geese, or ducks) or other dead wild birds such as gulls or birds of prey, you should report them to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) helpline on 03459 335577.

What you need to know
We will:
- remove wild animals such as badgers and foxes as well as domestic animals such as cats and dogs
We will not:
- remove dead pets from your home or private property, please contact your local vet surgery
What happens next
- we will remove the dead animal within 1 working day or as quickly as we can
- we check all domestic animals for identification, including microchips to identify and contact the owner
