Recycling collections

The recycling crew were unable to access Cecil Road today (28 June 2024) due to ongoing roadworks. The street will be reassessed on Monday (1 July 2024) to see if access can be made to collect recycling containers.

Collections during Extreme Weather

During periods of extreme weather (hot, cold, snow, wind) waste and recycling crews may change their working hours, this could include starting their rounds earlier. Where possible please put your bin and recycling containers out the night before and leave your containers out, in cases of extreme wind / storm conditions you may be advised not to present your containers at all. Any changes to crew start times or collections will be advertised ahead of collections taking place. Please keep an eye on our website and social media pages during periods of extreme weather and bear with us as situations can quickly change.

Damaged / Unused Containers

If you have any recycling containers that you can no longer use or need, you can drop them off at our depot on Eastern Avenue. The drop off is available between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (not including bank holidays).
