Private Waste Collections

If you are considering arranging a private waste collection please ensure the contractor is a registered waste carrier with the Environment Agency (EA). The contractor must by law provide you with waste transfer note that specifies what waste is being taken away, how and where your waste will be transported to. If you use a unregistered waste carrier and the waste is then fly-tipped on land that does not have an environmental permit, you shall receive a fine or be prosecuted. To comply with your Householder Duty of Care you can check whether those removing waste on your behalf are registered on the Environment Agency website.
