Scheme 07: Pitville Park

Improvement to Water Quality and Habitat

Located within Cheltenham

The park consists of two lakes with surrounding aquatic vegetation, amenity grassland and a large wildlife area where the grassland has been seeded and allowed to grow long.

Proposed works include de-silting of the lake and improved marginal planting in addition to bank protection measures to reduce erosion that will also provide better habitat for waterfowl. The lower lake will also have the current scrub thinned and additional marginal planting. Further wildflower areas and improvements to waterfowl foraging habitats will also be made.
