Grants available to help Gloucester businesses through lockdown
Businesses in Gloucester that have been forced to close during the current lockdown could be eligible for a grant.

A number of premises in the city have had to shut their doors if they are not classed as essential businesses.
But financial support is available through the Local Restrictions Support Grant to help them cope with the loss of income during the closure.
Businesses can apply by completing a secure online form available here: www.gloucester.gov.uk/community-living/advice-on-covid-19/what-you-need-to-know/business-support/business-rates-and-business-grants/
To be eligible your business-rated property must be within the Gloucester City Council area and come under one of the government’s categories on the list of businesses forced to close, that can be found here.
Your business could then be entitled to receive a one-off support grant of up to £3,000.
Cllr Dawn Melvin, cabinet member for economic recovery and growth at Gloucester City Council, said: “We know it’s a tough time for businesses at the moment so we’re delighted to be able to offer support through this one-off grant.
“I would encourage everyone to apply if they are eligible as it will provide a much-needed shot in the arm while they are closed to the public. I look forward to seeing these premises open again next month so we can support them in the build-up to Christmas.”
