Gloucester City Council is hosting an ‘LGA Be A Councillor Event’ for prospective female councillors

Two highly recommended LGA Peers will be in attendance, Mimi Harker and Bryony Rudkin, and the event will be facilitated by Anne Brinkhoff, Corporate Director at Gloucester City Council.
What is the purpose of the event?
- Women will hear information on how they can become a councillor at Gloucester City Council
- Political parties will be represented and are encouraging more females to stand for election in order to achieve a more representative and diverse membership
- It is an opportunity to find out more about what being a councillor involves by speaking with two experienced female councillors, Mimi Harker and Bryony Rudkin
- The event is non-party political, but is a chance to find out more about local politics and whether it’s a role you would enjoy
- The event is for females only and only for those who have not previously been elected
